3DP Designs and More is a small business in Goodrich, Michigan. This page explains what we collect when you use this website, why we collect it, and who else sees it. We have tried to write it in plain English and to keep it specific to this site rather than covering things we don't do.

What we collect when you buy something

To take an order and get it to you, we collect and store:

  • Your email address, so we can send a receipt and order updates.
  • Your shipping name, address and, if you provide one, phone number.
  • What you ordered, including any options you chose and any note you added to the order.
  • The amount charged, including sales tax where it applies, and a reference to the payment.

We never see or store your card number. Card details are entered directly into Stripe's payment form and go to Stripe, not to us. We receive only confirmation that a payment succeeded and a reference number for it.

What we collect when you contact us

The contact form asks for your name, email address and a subject, and sends a short code to that address to confirm it's yours. Your messages and our replies are stored so the conversation thread works when you come back to it.

If you leave a product review, we store the name you give and the text of the review. Both are shown publicly on the site, so please don't include anything there you'd rather keep private.

Cookies and site analytics

We set one cookie of our own, named vid. It holds a random identifier and nothing else — no name, no email, nothing that identifies you personally. It lets us count how many separate visitors viewed a product rather than how many page loads happened. It cannot be read by JavaScript in your browser and it lasts a year.

We record which products are viewed and added to carts, along with that random identifier and the site you arrived from. We use it to decide what to make and stock. It is not sold and not used to build a profile of you.

If you sign in to the admin area — which is us, not customers — a session cookie and optionally a “remember this device” cookie are set.

Who else your information goes to

We use a small number of outside services to run the shop:

  • Stripe processes payments. Your card details, billing information and email go to Stripe directly.
  • Supabase hosts the database where orders, messages and reviews are stored.
  • Netlify hosts the website itself.
  • Resend sends transactional email — receipts, shipping notices and contact-form codes. Your email address is passed to them to deliver those messages.
  • Pirate Ship is used to buy shipping labels, which requires giving them the delivery address for your parcel.
  • Pinterest — see the next section.

We do not sell your personal information, and we don't share it with anyone beyond what is needed to take payment, ship your order and reply to you — or where the law requires it.

Pinterest advertising and measurement

If you reach this site from Pinterest, or while Pinterest advertising is running, this site loads Pinterest's measurement tag. It tells Pinterest which pages were viewed, when something was added to a cart, what was searched for, which product categories were browsed, and when an order was completed and for how much.

When you complete an order, your email address is also sent to Pinterest so they can connect the sale to the advertisement you saw. Pinterest converts it into a scrambled form in your browser before it is sent. We send it only when an order completes — not while you browse, and not when you use the contact form.

You can limit this from Pinterest's side in their privacy settings, and browser-level tracking protection or an ad blocker will also prevent it.

How long we keep things

Order records are kept for as long as we need them for accounting, tax and warranty purposes — in practice several years, since Michigan and federal tax records have to be retained. Contact conversations are kept so the thread still makes sense if you come back to it. The visitor cookie expires after a year.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email support@3dpdesignsandmore.com and we'll deal with it ourselves — there is no department to go through.

One limit worth being straight about: we can't delete records we are required to keep for tax purposes, and we can't remove information already held by Stripe or a shipping carrier. We'll tell you plainly if that applies.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information. Ask, and we'll honour them.

Children

This shop sells griddle parts, boat accessories and truck parts. It isn't aimed at children and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us their details, email us and we'll remove them.

Changes to this policy

If we start using a new service that touches your information, we'll update this page and change the date at the top.
